I think campaign reform is a great idea. It would be great to know who is giving what to whom. It would be great to have everything out in the open and I think people are going to demand that more and more

To be honest, on this site I'm really going to focus more on community in general and leave the political issues on VoteSimiValley.com. But to both your points, I think you're right that I am an ultra conservative right-wing liberal democrat. However, the only think I have in common with Dick Cheney is that we occasionally both shoot our friends in the cheeks with buckshot. It's embarrassing, but true.

So... Sydney and Anonymous. Are we not going to be friends after this?

"Why not try City Hall, the library, the Reagan Library (if you can force your liberal, Democrat self in there)"

Hahahahahahahaha!!! Chandler's the only stubborn bastard I know who willingly and openly voted for George W. Bush TWO TIMES!!

And trust me, the only place Chandler's going to go are all the right wing conservative Republican hang-outs like City Hall, Rotary and the Chamber of Commerce. You'll see. He's about as liberal as Dick Cheney!

Hi Sydney,

I like Simi. I'm not on a disrespect Simi Valley campaign. Most of the people I knew growing up here couldn't wait to leave. Not me! I'm staying, and raising a family here.

BTW, as a registered Republican and fan of the Reagan campaign, I love The Reagan Library. You're way off track, and I love that about you! Come back more please! Liberal, democrat self! That's fantastic! And, I've lived here in Simi since birth -- 1974.

I've just started, but I pledge to record as much as I possibly can, including your suggestions. I bet you'll even to learn to like having me around!

Thanks,

Mike

I hope you plan on doing more than posting videos from the City Council meetings; especially since your sound quality is so bad. Why not just let people know that they can tune in to channel 10 on Monday nights at 6:30p? They can find the schedule and agendas for City Council meetings on the City of Simi Valley website. The meetings are aired by Time Warner Cable.
And while you're on your Disrespect Simi Valley campaign, why not go to AT&T and ask them why they don't air the City Council Meetings on their UVerse programming? Ask them why they claim they're going to air the local channel but haven't yet? It would be great to have a provider other than Time Warner Cable in this city. We have so many options for TV but none, besides TWC, have access to the local channel.
Also, why don't you actually interview City Council members? And Planning Commissioners and employees of the city. Maybe you'd realize that most of them are doing this out of love for their city. True, Barbra Williamson, Glen Becerra, and Planning Commissioner Dantona all have agendas of their own. But the others are there simply because they want to maintain the quality of life here in Simi while also complying with State and Federal mandates and rules.
Finally, if you're going to interview citizens of Simi, why not go someplace other than the Regal Cinema or the mall? All you're going to find there are kids and how many kids are informed about their local government? How informed were you at that age? Why not try City Hall, the library, the Reagan Library (if you can force your liberal, Democrat self in there), Veteran's Halls, the Elks, Moose and Rotary clubs?
You claim you are trying to promote Simi Valley and what a great place it is to live so please do that on this site. Please remember that this place was always a great place to live until all the losers from LA and environs started moving here. And please let us know how long you've lived here. It would be quite informative to find that out.
